in Teaching Innovation Awards this year.
Dr Rashmi Adaval (Department
of Marketing)
Combines different teaching methods to build curricula, including
mini-activities, reading techniques, cognitive scaffolding and simulation
games. Students gain skills step by step and are encouraged to be
more interactive.
Dr Rudolf Fleischer (Department
of Computer Science)
'Just-in-time' teaching framework to challenge students to become
responsible
for their own learning. Also motivates students to help each other
learn. Instant feedback to increase student-teacher interaction.
Dr John Milton (Language Center)
Develops an online English learning platform that incorporates various
tools and 500 original language activities to help improve oral
and aural, reading and writing skills.
