Our campus-wide 10th Anniversary Carnival brought the HKUST family together with the local community for a day of festivities. Over 15,000 people attended the Carnival, and more than 20,000 students attended the Student Outreach Day to learn about the University's programs, facilities and campus life. |
The Distinguished Lecture Series was kicked off by neuroscientist Prof Zach Hall of the University of California at San Francisco, and featured other prominent lecturers including 1997 Nobel Laureate in Physics, Prof Steven Chu of Stanford University. |
An opportunity to reminisce and reflect on the University's beginnings and rapid development was provided at the Founders' Dinner. The celebration drew close to 500 founding members, together with their families and special guests. The dinner acknowledged the tremendous contribution the founders have made and continue to make to the success of HKUST. |
