A study completed in 2002 by the University's Office
of the Vice-President for Academic Affairs showed how HKUST undergraduates'
ability and academic attainment are in line with some of the best universities
in the United States.
The percentage of HKUST students gaining an A grade
average while studying in the US on exchange rose from 23% to 34%.
