HKUST's 'Lab-on-a-Chip' research appeared in the 1 July issue of the renowned journal Analytical Chemistry. The research, led by Dr Nikolaus Sucher, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology, showed that the technology could be applied to genotyping of Chinese medicinal plants.
     
 
The third and final HKUST Forum on the Future Development of Hong Kong took place at the Shangri-La Hotel on 12 July. The event, organized by the School of Business and Management, focused on the HKSAR government's role in the economy. Business leaders, government officials, university senior officials and students, the media and members of the public attended the successful and productive event.
